In Egyptian mythology, Anubis weighed the heart of the deceased against the feather of Ma'at — those whose hearts were heavier were devoured by Ammit. His banishment mechanic makes Anubirix devastating in multi-card battles where opponents have been worn down. This mirrors the banished-zone cards of Yu-Gi-Oh and the void-dimension Bakugan abilities.
