Real giant manta rays have the largest brains of any fish and display self-awareness. In the Predator Cards collector card game, Manta Rex is an evasion specialist: he avoids damage while dealing sustained field damage, unlike direct-strike ocean predators. His untargetable mechanic mirrors the evasion forms in Bakugan and the effect-immune monster cards of Yu-Gi-Oh.
